comparing candidates health plans

Comparing The Candidates' Health Plans

The Kaiser Family Foundation has done a magnificent side-by-side

comparison of the health care proposals of all the candidates for

President. Educate yourself, and learn who really has your best

interests at heart. (Hint: it's not the Republicans.) Fractured Atlas

has a think piece on Kaiser's handy tool, and explains the reasons

(if, like me, you are clueless) why health care mandates are so

absolutely necessary.

Hey, thanks, dude -- this is excellent. First I compared Obama

and Clinton, and that was really useful (though the words

"health care menu" freak me out a lot). Then I compared

Huckabee and Clinton, just for kicks, and discovered that the

words "health care menu" don't freak me out nearly as much as

"make HSAs more available" do. Um, I think that health-care

savings accounts are only useful when, say, one has spare money

to save. Haven't we figured out yet that market-based health

care screws everyone? Or maybe it's only *nearly* everyone...

Anyhow, thanks very much. And thanks too for the post about

MRSA, part of whose danger (and fear-making power) is that it

can just be hanging around, dormant, for awhile. Which does

sound familiar...
